News from the Nurse End of the Year NotesDear Antietam Parents,
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is arriving!! It has been a pleasure to be of aid to your children this past school year.
Clinic Medications. If you have any medications in the clinic, please be sure to pick them up BEFORE the last day of school. Any medications not picked up before the last day of school WILL be disposed of. Additionally, if you know your child will need medications in the clinic for the 2011-2012 school year, please stop by the clinic to pick up the necessary paperwork to be filled out by the physician. A new treatment plan must be provided for each upcoming school year.
TDAP Vaccine. If your rising 6th grader has not received the mandatory TDAP vaccine, please ensure that it is done as soon as possible and bring documentation to the school. Without proof of this documentation your child will not be able to start 6th grade.
HPV Vaccine. Soon, I will send to the parents of all rising sixth-grade girls a letter that provides information about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and the HPV vaccine. The letter is written by the Virginia Department of Health and is available in both English and Spanish. It includes Frequently Asked Questions and info. This letter will be sent home no later than Tuesday, June 14. Have a wonderful, fun, and safe summer! Enrollment Information
